Privacy, Cookies and Conditions

Personal information is briefly information that can be linked to you as a person. Personal information may be name, phone number, address, but there may also be things like IP addresses, behavior patterns, or assessment / profiling made from a data set. We will need some of your personal information to best respond to your inquiry and provide you with the right information.

Our customers’ privacy is important to us. You will feel safe when shopping with us. Therefore, we provide data protection to comply with data protection rules, including in particular the EU’s general data protection regulation (GDPR), which started from May 25, 2018, as well as current Norwegian legislation. Below we would like to inform you about the purposes for which your data is collected and used and how to exercise your rights.

With the help of technical and organizational measures, our IT systems are secured against unauthorized access, change or distribution of your data, as well as loss and destruction.

We only store the data in our own central customer database for handling requests, execution and settlement of agreements (including payment settlement and possible credit rating?). The treatment is based on the EU’s general data protection regulation. Depending on special type of agreements, the following data collection is required:

  • Lastname, firstname
  • Address
  • E-mail address
  • date of birth
  • Telephone / fax number
  • Product / Service
  • Possible staff card data
  • IP
  • adress location

Inquiries and customer follow-up

In order for us to follow up as a customer, we must have certain information in order to reach you. These information is the ones you provide us in the contact forms around our website, by filling in the respective fields. Your personal information will not be used for any purpose other than responding to your inquiry and possibly adding you as a customer. Customer Information and Order History We must store your customer information related to your customer relationship and your previous orders. We do this primarily because it is required by law to archive such information, partly due to legislation such as the Bookkeeping Act. It is also important that we have this information available if you need technical support on any of your products from us, make use of the warranty or wish to purchase additional parts or other equipment for a product you have previously purchased from us.  

We use “cookies”

To facilitate the use of our site, we use “cookies”, cf. Cookie Information §3. Cookies are small text files that your browser can store on your computer’s hard disk and which are useful for using our site. We use cookies to better understand how our site is used and to improve navigation. Cookies also allow us to sign up if you have visited our site earlier, or if you are on the site for the first time. The cookies we use do not save your personal data. If you do not want to receive cookies, you must set your browser accordingly. All information is automatically anonymized and will not be used by either us or any third party to identify you as a person. The information will only be used for analytical purposes.

Sales conditions for online shopping from Westech AS

These terms and conditions apply to all sales from the online store of Westech AS (organization number 937 639 961), unless otherwise specifically agreed. In addition to these conditions, the Act applies to the purchase of May 13, 1988, No. 27 (Purchase Act).

The online store is reserved for business owners. Consumers request direct contact with Westech or send a request to office@westech.no.  

1. The agreement

The agreement between buyer and Westech consists of the information Westech handles the purchase in the order solution in the online store, any direct correspondence between the parties and these terms of sale. Westech accepts errors in information about price and item specification.

  2. Prices

The prices quoted in the online store are ex. VAT. Details of the total costs the buyer is required to pay, including all charges and delivery costs, are given in order confirmation after ordering.

3. Agreement

Entry and access to waive the Agreement The agreement is binding on both parties when the buyer’s order has been received by Westech. If a product proves to be out of stock or is not available, Westech may cancel the order. The customer can cancel the order if it is not late from Westech. In case of cancellation, a fee of NOK 200 will be charged. Items late from Westech are not returned.

4. Order Confirmation

When Westech has received the buyer’s order, Westech shall without undue delay confirm the order by sending an order confirmation to the buyer. The buyer must immediately check the order confirmation.

5. Payment

When ordering, Westech can make a separate credit rating of the buyer. If credit is granted, an invoice will be issued with a 14 day payment deadline. In case of late payment, late interest rates are required in accordance with the Delay Interest Act. If no credit is given, the customer must pay for goods and shipping before shipment takes place.

6. Delivery

Delivery of the item is done in the manner, at the place and time specified in the order solution in the online store. If no delivery date is stated in the ordering solution, Westech will deliver the goods to the buyer within a reasonable time after the order from the customer. Delivery time will depend on inventory. Should Westech ensure that the goods are dispatched to the buyer, this should be done in an appropriate manner and under normal conditions for such transportation.

7. The risk of the goods

The risk of the goods is transferred to the buyer when the goods are taken over by the buyer under the agreement. If the delivery time has come and the buyer fails to take over a product that is at his or her disposal after the agreement, the buyer still has the risk of loss or damage.

8. Examination of the item

When the buyer receives the item, the buyer must check within 2 days whether it is in accordance with the order or if it is otherwise missing. If the item does not match the order or is missing, the buyer must report to the seller within 3 days. 

9. Complaints

If there is a defect in the goods, the buyer must immediately notify Westech that he or she will invoke the defect. The claim must be made within 1 month after the buyer took over the item.    

   

10. The buyer’s rights for defective and delayed goods

If Westech does not deliver the goods under the agreement, and this is not due to the buyer or relationship on the buyer’s behalf, the buyer may rectify the breach of obligations under the terms of the Buying Act. Buyer’s claims for direct and indirect losses can not exceed the value of the order.       

11. Westech’s rights at the buyer’s default

If the buyer does not pay or meet the other obligations under the agreement, and this is not due to Westech, Westech may rectify breach of the rights to buyer under the terms of the Buying Act. The goods are owned by Westech until the invoice is paid in full.
